Intercessory Prayer

If you are interested in participating in surrounding the Yahweh Center Children’s Village in a wall of prayer please email Carla Roberts croberts at yahwehcenter.org and we will help you become an intercessor for this ministry.

When asked how much time he spent in prayer, George Muller’s reply was, “Hours every day. But I live in the spirit of prayer. I pray as I walk and when I lie down and when I arise. And the answers are always coming.” Please read more about our need and vision for prayer cover with partners like you.

Intercessory Prayer: The fervent prayer of a righteous man or woman avails much!

“There is no power like that of prevailing prayer, of Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob wrestling in the stillness of the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse and grief, Jesus in sweat of blood.  Add to this list from the records of the church your personal observation and experience, and always there is the cost of passion unto blood.  Such prayer prevails.  It turns ordinary mortals into men of power.  It brings power.  It brings fire.  It brings rain.  It brings life.  It brings God.” – Samuel Chadwick

Any ministry that is truly seeking to walk in fullness of God’s work needs a prayer covering.  It has been a vision of mine to develop a wall of intercessory prayer warriors who would agree to intercede for this ministry. The foundational idea comes from the book of Nehemiah in the 4th Chapter.

15 And it happened, when our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that God had brought their plot to nothing, that all of us returned to the wall, everyone to his work. 16 So it was, from that time on, that half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and wore armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. 17 Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. 18 Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me.

The powerful prayer of and for children.

The work of the ministry of the Yahweh Center Children’s Village is in need of great prayer power. Our team and volunteers are working in the periphery of extreme brokenness.  The need for prayer to cover not only the children, but the staff and their families and the families engaging with us for the outcomes of these children face incredible challenges. We are working to the outcome of hope, healing and restoration through the power of Jesus Christ. Only with the combination of prayer and the commitment to the mission can the changes come forth for these children to be set free. The battleground is fierce and the need for a “wall of prayer” has never been so important. We need watchman and builders to help us meet the goal of a ministry without a gap in the wall.
